Sam and Katy wedding - Chester July 2010

On July 24th we photographed the wedding of Sam and Katy at All Saints Church, Hoole, Chester. We met Sam and Katy earlier on in the year at the wedding of another Sam and Katie #1 (notice Katie with an "ie"). Yes, believe me, it got very confusing! They had been bridesmaid and usher at Sam and Katies #1 wedding and had watched us like hawks throughout their wedding. By the end of the day they said they were 90% certain they wanted us as their photographers! We were excited! A week later we had an email to say they were 100% certain they wanted us. We were uber-chuffed!
We knew this would be a very creative and original day and had heard little bits and pieces about their plans. One thing that they were very excited about was their plans for decorating the reception venue, which was the church hall attached to All Saints. Have you seen the movie "The Holiday"? If so you might remember the tent scene in which Jude Laws children are having a sleepover. Well, they wanted to capture that feel. It worked perfectly! As you will see in these photos there was so much originality about the day. Hand painted canvases, a plasticine modelling competition, red shoes, spotty umbrella, scrabble letters, sunflowers and vibrant purple dresses!

4 years of Mr and Mrs "o&c" x x x

Today we are 4 years old! Cant believe how quick four years have flown by. We thought rather than letting this one go by, we thought we would reminisce with some images from "our wedding". Its not usual for us to put photos of us up on here, usually its someone elses day we are blogging. So, here we go... four years on, here are a few of our wedding photos taken by the very lovely Emily Quinton. We were her first ever wedding and wowsers, she has seriously taken off since then. Thanks Emily for being such a great photographer to a very badly organised Bride and Groom :D We didnt know what we were doing, so didnt give Emily much idea about what we wanted. Oh, how things change!! Tee hee!!

Happy anniversary Owen... thanks for being my best friend and the bestest husband in the world!! ( You are so right for me!) Love you always x x x Ca
