a seaport in Avon, in SW England, on the Avon River near its confluence with the Severn estuary where me and Ca had a chance to spend a day shooting with Rosie Parsons, Juliet McKee, Shell de Mar, Dominique Bader and Antonina Mamzenko. All tip top togs I think you'd agree!

We met at the Mud Docks in the heart of Bristol and split up in to pairs. Ca and I gave a little internal "Whoop, whoop!" when we were paired up with Jules from Sugar and Spice Photography and her husband Shane. I love Jules' clean, crisp and mega sharp images and am blown away by the photos she took of us here. To say we are chuffed is an understatement almost as big as saying I'm now "slightly nervous" about blogging my images. Anyway and with out further ado here are my shots of the lovely Shane and Jules at Brizzle docks (Ca's to follow).

Autumn Changes {Personal}

I love the seasons, but love them even more when they arrive and remind me how much I love them. Autumn is so magical. Its warm colours and humbling changes are so spectacular, its easy to take it all for granted. I have been challenged recently to take photos of the things I see, not just those things that come along when working. Its so easy to get caught up in the work you are asked to do that the fun and joy of capturing beautiful things gets lost in the busy-ness of doing a job. I know when I enjoy taking time to look there are so many more treasures that seem to appear.
I wonder, how often do you look up and see the changing leaves? How often do you look down and find the first burst of berries on the bushes? Im trying hard to do these things more often. We live in a wonderful world, with stunning seasons. Change can be a good thing! x C



















Wanted to leave you with this view. It may not seem much, but every day we have the pleasure of looking at it from our house. Its the Texaco Oil Refinery here in Pembrokeshire. It may at times seem a bit of a eyesore, but at night time the lights that cover the towers bring it to life. A little bit like Christmas decor. I've really learnt to love this view!

Concrete Cool - National Theatre Wedding

When we met Paul and Sarah they had jet-lag after returning the day before from six months away travelling. Tired and overwhelmed by their trip they were still coming to terms with the fact that they were now planning their wedding. Although exhausted, they were relaxed and really friendly, we instantly liked them. They are both full to the brim of London style and we knew that their ideas would really reflect who they are as people. Paul, as an architect was keen on a building of iconic proportions. So when we heard they had chosen The National Theatre for the ceremony, we knew this would be a right up Paul's street and would given us photos with instant "concrete coolness". Sarah had her own style and proved that in her creative abilities. When we reached Malmaison, where she was getting ready, she was sewing her headdress together, adding the blue feather to her masterpiece. It suited her perfectly and was such a subtle, yet stylish addition to her gorgeous dress.
Paul and Sarah decided to walk each other in to the ceremony. It was such a relaxed start to a beautiful and very personal ceremony. On occasions like this its hard not to smile and join in with the celebrations. We found some time after the ceremony to enjoy the iconic style of the National Theatre. Its concrete walls, angular levels and individual shape made great black and white photos, which is something that both Paul and Sarah had requested specifically.
Their reception was held back at Sarah's family home in their stunning garden and a beautifully decorated marquee. It was a perfect contrast to the hustle and bustle of the Big Smoke. With beautiful lavenders, roses, herbs and hydrangeas adorning the garden it added a delicate aspect to the occasion.
We truly loved having the opportunity to be a part of Paul and Sarah's wedding. It really was such a special celebration and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing in it and capturing their day. Thanks again guys and we really hope you are enjoying your newly married life together. o&c x
