Sun set shoot - Photo swap #3 {Owen}

Ok, so after a tasty pizza lunch at the PiantWorks we all jumped in the cars and raced off to the location for the second shoot. As before, we got into pairs and Ca and I got the awesome Del and Shella de Mar.

Shella is a rocking photographer and her images are as stylish and cool as she is. Her and her husband where a joy to be around all day and to get to shoot them together was amazing. We tried to squeeze in a few more shots before the winters sun set on what had already been a really fun day. As Ca and I shoot as a team, sometimes I take the chance to have a play with something a bit more weird. Knowing Ca would be getting great shots I grabbed my fish eye and had a go at shooting wide, very wide.

It was pretty cold by the time we stopped shooting but eeking out the last of the light was worth it, thanks guys.

a seaport in Avon, in SW England, on the Avon River near its confluence with the Severn estuary where me and Ca had a chance to spend a day shooting with Rosie Parsons, Juliet McKee, Shell de Mar, Dominique Bader and Antonina Mamzenko. All tip top togs I think you'd agree!

We met at the Mud Docks in the heart of Bristol and split up in to pairs. Ca and I gave a little internal "Whoop, whoop!" when we were paired up with Jules from Sugar and Spice Photography and her husband Shane. I love Jules' clean, crisp and mega sharp images and am blown away by the photos she took of us here. To say we are chuffed is an understatement almost as big as saying I'm now "slightly nervous" about blogging my images. Anyway and with out further ado here are my shots of the lovely Shane and Jules at Brizzle docks (Ca's to follow).

Natalieh and Harmony (The Photography Parlour g2g)

Our final model of the shoot was the very lovely Natalieh. She wore the most stunning vintage dress with silk gloves. Her outfit fitted perfectly with the atmosphere on the Harmony II Yacht (where the g2g had been based), so we opted for taking some shots on the stunning boat. The views from the boat provided us with a great background too. On one side were modern buildings, where the other side provided us with colourful housing and docked boats which helped to capture the feeling of being at sea (well, imagine!) Thank you Natalieh for modelling for us, it was much appreciated, especially at the end of a long hot day. Also a big and final thank you to all those lovely people who gave their time and skills to help making the day so truly-wonderful!

Beautiful Clara B ( The Photography Parlour g2g)

Our second model of the day was the very lovely Clara B. As soon as we saw the stunning dress and bow she has in her hair and her lovely smile we couldnt help but hope we would have the chance to work with her. Yet again, Clara was very laid back and very easy to work with. She made our job very easy and was a very popular model amongst the photographers. We took Clara on rather a long walk around the edge of the docks for these images. The writing on the side of the docks was so striking and it made such a great background against the mono-chrome outfit and flowers that Clara was wearing. Thank you Clara for making our shoot such fun and for being so happy to do as the group asked, even climbing up on the crane (hope it didn't scare you too much! x)

Introducing the very lovely Sara ( The Photography Parlour g2g)

For the next few blogs we will be showing you some of the photographs we captured of different models that were assigned to us during the Photography Parlour g2g.
Sara was our first model. She was truly brilliant. She was very happy to be directed by people in the group and was up for anything, including borrowing a random guys fluorescent pink bike! For us, this is the first time we have ever shot models (as we are usually doing weddings or portrait sessions). It was a fun experience and we both learnt so much about how to pose a model and how to get the best from the situation you are in. Bristol has so much to offer and the Bristol Docks are crammed with different buildings, creative creations and of course, the docks and train tracks.
