Fancy footwork!

Shoes... Yes, I can hear you squeaking! A true pleasure to photograph and such a fun accessory for your wedding day. I (Charis) find myself getting as excited about shoes and other details at weddings as much a the thought of a wedding dress.
Fancy footwear can bring such an individual twist to a wedding outfit. I think this collection of shoe images shows just something of what's available. A true "sweetshop" of ideas is now out there. A feast for the eyes and a chance for true individuality and and option for something with a twist, In writing about and looking back at images from some of our 2010 weddings I realise how plain and simple my wedding outfit was. Ive also come to realise that thats ok! As we said about wedding dresses, its totally down to you and what makes your day so very you.



When taking photos of shoes and other wedding clothes you quickly learn who the designers are and what their style is and also what is on offer. Its also a real pleasure to see that funky, quirky, delicate, different shoes are out there in the high street shops at affordable prices. Shops like Next and New Look have pleasantly surprised me.
Whatever you go for to make your feet feel as beautiful as the rest of you... enjoy shoe shopping!

Dyffryn Gardens Welsh Wedding

We always knew that this would be a very special wedding day. Tim and Ceri are two very wonderful people and had chosen such a stunning venue. We were so excited and honoured to have the chance to capture their day. We had been on a recee to Dyffryn Gardens and all our fingers were crossed for good weather. Tim and Ceri have a very strong Christian faith and although they didn't get married in a church building their wedding service was jam-packed full of their love for each other and their faith in Jesus. It was such a joyful celebration, full of happiness and it was impossible to not get caught up in the fun of the day.
Tim and Ceri are big VW fans, so they had a very cool camper van as their vehicle of choice. It collected Ceri from her parents house where she was getting ready and drove her to Dyffryn Gardens where the rest of celebrations took place. After all of the ceremony we had the chance to take them off for their own photos and we were spoilt for choice! So much to see and so many hidden nooks and crannies. It really was a photographers dream! The gardens sport different styled gardens, from Pompei gardens, courtyards and folly's. The house itself is truly stunning, but is purely used for aesthetic purposes at present as it is unsuitable for use inside. That didn't bother us though, it is so visually appealing it featured in many of our photos!
Like many people these days, a wedding cake wasn't a first choice for Tim and Ceri, so they opted for something very different, a very large Millies Cookie. They had their names and date of wedding iced on top. It was then shared amongst the guests as a cake would, but it really was a yummy treat and a very good twist on a theme.
With bubbles, boules, skittles and a band in the evening, Tim and Ceris wedding ended as it began, on a real high. It was such fun and we even had the chance to join in with dancing and celebrating too.

Oh, one last thing... the stationary for the day was designed by the very talented Lottie Blake. Fitting in with the themed colour blue and shabby-chic flowers. It added real flair to the reception décor and was truly stunning. this girl comes highly recommended! :D

The day they tied the "Knott"...

You can never guarantee good weather in Spring and West Wales, but the weather for this wedding was nothing but perfect. Sam and Katie (Knott) married at Broad Haven Baptist Church in Pembrokeshire, with their reception at Cuffern Manor. Being a Welsh wedding there were plenty of stunning daffodils and spring flowers (thanks to Katies mum, who grew most of them in her garden) adorning the church, reception and displayed in the stunning bouquets. Katie wore amazing green shoes, which matched the stunning bridesmaids. Sam with his dreads oozed coolness with his posse of grooms men (some of the most helpful we have ever worked with...thanks so much guys!)You cant really do a coastal wedding without visiting the beach. We drove down to Nolton Haven for the beach shots and were lucky enough to have some stunning early evening light and an empty beach. Both Sam and Katie are both beach lovers, spending many a day surfing and having fun in the sea, so this location was perfect to capture this side of their relationship.Mr and Mrs Knott we wish you so much happiness in your new life.
