Mike & Zoe: Andaz London, empty streets and copious amounts of incredible cake.

So we shot a wedding in London. No beaches in sight. When Mike and Zoe asked if we would shoot their wedding in London at the Andaz, we were rather pleased. It is a hotel beyond hotels. An incredible venue with so much variety and style. Every corner takes you into a different era.
Everything about this day was exceptional. From Zoes stunning dress and shoes, Mikes dapper suit and the most incredibly beautiful cakes and flowers. Our faces ached from smiling!
Zoes father styled all of the girls hair in the morning and it was so emotional and special to see his face when Zoe finally appeared in her dress.
After the ceremony and canapés we took Mike and Zoe out of the Andaz and into near by London. In our naivety, we expected it to be all hustle and bustle, but being the business district, on a Saturday afternoon, it was quiet and the roads were surprisingly empty. We loved every second of it. A change for us and a chance for these guys to relax and enjoy the fact that the had just got married. For us this is one of the best, most exciting times of a wedding day. Being with our couple in the reality and start of their new adventure. Its such an honour and privilege and such fun too.
Back at the Andaz we enjoyed speeches, photo booth, cake (be prepared for cake photos...!) to round up what had been a truly awesome day, dancing into the early hours with the Wedding Crashers busting out some true golden oldies!
London weddings are fun! We truly enjoyed a change of scenery. Thank you so much Mike and Zoe for choosing us to share in your wonderful wedding. We smile every time we look at your photos and drool very slightly when we see the cake photos (runs off to see if there is anything remotely cake like in the cupboards) X o&c
