Its been such a long time since we blogged, but now the season has calmed down, its all systems go again on the blogging front.
John and Liz got married in Derbyshire at what can only be described as a mammoth celebration of the couples relationship and their own cultures. Both John and Liz are from Malaysian families although have chosen to live and work in the UK. They were keen to bring together aspects of their culture and also still keeping a British focus on food and of course using the beautiful Osmaston Park as the venue for their big day. With so much happening before the wedding even took place we felt we had witnessed a true visual feast of Chinese Marriage tradition. From the colours, to the rule of not touching or putting anything on the marriage bed. The games played off between the bridal party and the groom and his entourage (mainly eating very hot chillies cooked off in and mixed in with other strange food, dressing up and some random game involving blind folds and money!) and also the charming Lion Dance and Chinese Tea Ceremony, the whole day was a buzz of activity, with a neat and visually creative marriage of tradition, personality and of course love.
John and Liz are full of character and humour and its kind of obvious in these photos that they have lots of fun. Hopefully you can see what we mean. Thanks guys for allowing us to share in your wedding celebration x o&c
Need to give a big shout out to the lovely Debs of Deborah Bennet Makeup (seriously call this lady if you need to look hot or anything crotcheting... super talented and rather lovely too!

I've been having a look through your photographs after seeing a link to your blog on another wedding blog. I really like your photographs, they're all of excellent quality!
Am I right in assuming that you are based in west Wales? Or is it just that you get a lot of business there? I work predominantly in the south east/central Wales. Such as Cardiff, Newport, Monmouth etc.
Anyway, lovely blog! Keep up the great work.
Kind regards,
Matt from Desire Disco
