Jon and Katies wedding was all kinds of awesome. One of our favourite dresses by FCNK, gorgeous Rachel Simpson shoes, Navy blue bridesmaids dress and an uber sense of effortless cool from Jon in his navy blue tailored suit. Nothing felt faffy, any little detail and style in the wedding was well thought out, well executed and made our job easy.
When we went to check out Plas Newydd, Angelsey we had the chance to do a reccee and we knew then we were spoilt for choice. The wedding venue was quite stunning. Large paintings adorned the walls and really allowed for a sense of grandeur. You will see we have included a fair few photos from their ceremony. Reason being... well, we kind of hope you can see. The real depth of love and friendship between these two was tangible. It was so exciting to see these guys get married They grinned from ear to ear for the whole ceremony. It was quite contagious!
What was so truly great about the way Jon and Katie wanted their wedding day to be meant that we were had freedom and time to take them to all of the places we had visited at the venue when we had met with them. When we saw the tree house, we were pretty blown away, but on the day, we came across a wooden shelter and some trees that made us both go WOW! Hopefully you can what we mean by WOW!
Jon and Katie are pretty darn talented journalists and the talent seems to ooze from their family and friends too. All of the beautifully cool and personal stationary was designed by Katies bridesmaid Liz, Jons brother, who is an actor, did a pretty hilarious speech, including a rendition from the Dawsons Creek theme tune "I don't want wait, for our lives to be over..."
Thank you Jon and Katie for choosing us to share in your day, for keeping it cool and relaxed and for making our job a true and utter pleasure. We hope that NYC is treating you kindly x x o&c
PS: Did we song assassinate you? Are you now walking around the house with Dawsons Creek pounding through your head? Sing it! Sing it loud! be proud! You know you want to! :P
