Love My Dress and Rock 'n Roll Bride features! Oh Yes!

This week we have had our work featured on two of the most awesome UK wedding blogs.
We became sponsors for the very lovely Love My Dress blog earlier this month and were featured this week with the stunning wedding of Damian and Katie in May - "A VW 'LoveDub' Campervan Style Wedding". Annabel has featured us a couple of times now. We feel so honoured as we love what she does and it means so much to be featured alongside some truly amazing photographers and others in the industry. Have a little peek at the recent o&c Photography features from Love My Dress - "A Vintage Weddding in Wales", "Caravan of Lola Love", "o&c Photography - New Sponsors", "A Vintage Engagement Shoot - Sun, Sea & Suitcases"...hope you enjoy! Thanks Annabel for yet again making us feel so loved by Love My Dress :D

As if all that bloggage love was not enough...Today we have had our work featured on the uber-cool Rock'nRoll Bride Blog alongside a selection of truly awesome photographers from the recent Photography Parlour G2G. Pink-haired Kat is the groovesome wedding blogger for Rock'n Roll Bride. Her blog is full of amazing features including rock and roll weddings, engagement shoots and wedding related articles. We are so chuffed to have been chosen for this feauture and love how Kat has styled her blog. Thanks Kat, its such an honour and we hope we get the chance to work with you again, real soon x

Buttercups a plenty!

So, when we were contacted by Laura asking if we could capture her family as a Fathers Day present for her husband Paul, I was really excited. Before going full time with Photography, I (Charis) was a full-time teacher. Laura and Pauls eldest daughter was in my class and I had also taught their son. It was so exciting to see them again, they truly are a gorgeous family. I had really hoped for good weather and had an idea in my head of what I envisaged from the shoot. After chatting to Laura I realised that our ideas were the same! Good start! I had an idea of where we should go, but as we no longer live in Oxford, it was a chance of luck that the field I was hoping to go to would be full of flowers. As we drove around the corner I was so chuffed! Whoopeee!!! buttercups galore! It was so stunning and a true find.
Since I last saw Laura and Paul and their family they have a new baby son, so they really wanted photos to capture their whole family, with focus on the children. As usual I had a few props, which ended up being very useful as we did have a couple of moans and groans from the children, but they really worked well with the camera and made the job easy and very much fun!
Thank you so much guys for letting us capture your gorgeous family and thank you for being so up for playing in the beautiful buttercups! Big love from us x o&c

Two little words x

We received two Thank You card in the post this week. They have really made our day and each card has said the kindest things. Its funny how words can mean so much. They are so easy to say, but also so easy not to say.
We are not writing this in expectation of thanks from anyone, but just as a celebration of two little words "Thank You".

Also, we have been blown away by the stunning designs of invites that have been coming our way recently. Design is such a personal thing and when preparing a wedding, design can set the style of your whole day. Here are some truly wonderful examples of just some of the invites we have recently received for weddings. When we got married we made our own invites using a photograph of the beach where we got engaged.
These examples of stunning invites have each been so perfect for the weddings we have attended. Each has said so much about the wedding style and the couple.

We have so many people to thank for support over the past few months. It would take a lot of time to name you all, but we want to send a huge Thank You to our parents and families for their love and support since we have gone full time and also our dear friends across the UK (Oxford, Suffolk, Birmingham, Pembrokeshire...)
A huge Thank You has to go out to all the wonderful couples we have had the pleasure to take photos of. We love doing your weddings and we are truly honoured that you choose us. Thank You from the bottom of our hearts x o&c

Stationary designed by bride and groom.

When choosing invites and wedding stationary, dont copy these because you like them, choose something that is YOU. Something that will be part of your wedding day and will set you apart from the rest. There are some great designers out there. Try Etsy and Folksy for a range of designs that are quirky and made with love.
Happy stationary hunting and Thank You for taking time to read and follow our blog

Natalieh and Harmony (The Photography Parlour g2g)

Our final model of the shoot was the very lovely Natalieh. She wore the most stunning vintage dress with silk gloves. Her outfit fitted perfectly with the atmosphere on the Harmony II Yacht (where the g2g had been based), so we opted for taking some shots on the stunning boat. The views from the boat provided us with a great background too. On one side were modern buildings, where the other side provided us with colourful housing and docked boats which helped to capture the feeling of being at sea (well, imagine!) Thank you Natalieh for modelling for us, it was much appreciated, especially at the end of a long hot day. Also a big and final thank you to all those lovely people who gave their time and skills to help making the day so truly-wonderful!

Beautiful Clara B ( The Photography Parlour g2g)

Our second model of the day was the very lovely Clara B. As soon as we saw the stunning dress and bow she has in her hair and her lovely smile we couldnt help but hope we would have the chance to work with her. Yet again, Clara was very laid back and very easy to work with. She made our job very easy and was a very popular model amongst the photographers. We took Clara on rather a long walk around the edge of the docks for these images. The writing on the side of the docks was so striking and it made such a great background against the mono-chrome outfit and flowers that Clara was wearing. Thank you Clara for making our shoot such fun and for being so happy to do as the group asked, even climbing up on the crane (hope it didn't scare you too much! x)
